The 2023 lineup will be marked with a special distinction as Honda Powersport celebrates 50 years of motocross models! There are many updates for the CRF450R and CRF450R-WE for the occasion, as well as a special model dedicated to the occasion.
When Honda introduced the first CR250M Elsinore fifty years ago, we changed motocross forever.
And in 2023, we’re bringing you three new ways to dominate the track: the CRF450R, CRF450RWE and the limited edition 50th Anniversary 450R. The upgrades include changes to the intake tract to increase the engine’s low to mid-range torque, giving you quicker corner exits and the ability to pull higher gears. The redesigned chassis is stronger at key points for better stability, optimized suspension performance and improved handling.

And here’s the big news: To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first Honda Elsinore, we’re releasing a special limited edition CRF450R with a blue seat, gold steering wheel and rims, commemorative graphics and more. Frame rigidity has been optimized by thickening the material in strategic areas, while the use of steel engine mounts (instead of aluminum) helps improve front-end traction. For added strength and noise reduction, the muffler body is made of heat treated aluminum with a new inner tube design.
For 2023, Honda is also offering a 50th Anniversary model reminiscent of the legendary 1980s CRs that ruled American motocross and supercross. Easily recognizable by fans of the era, this version features blue seat upholstery, white license plates, gold rims, gold steering wheel, gray metal triple clamp and special graphics.
The CRF450R will be available from July for $9,599, while the CRF450R 50th Anniversary Edition will be available in September for $9,899.
